P.E.T.A. People Protest KFC on State Street today

So I was driving down State Street today and stopped at a red light next to the first KFC in the West on 39th South I see over a dozen people standing on the sidewalk in the cold winter winds holding signs that read 'KFC CRUELTY'.

P.E.T.A. is against the cruelty of how chickens are raised, thats great, be against it. Also P.E.T.A. is a major stock holder for McDonalds, which they say is because McDonalds is nicer to the animals they slaughter. So was the protesting of KFC today really about the animals or was it about boosting McDonalds shares?

I'm against P.E.T.A. because I love fishing Circus Fighting Against P.E.T.A.
and I'm glad the public school system hasn't let P.E.T.A. have their way and try pushing their anti-fishing adgenda onto school kids. They tried this in several states but schools wouldn't let them in, so they just ended up confronting kids as they walked home from school, a close friend I fished with on weekends in the summer told me about his kids running into P.E.T.A. on the way home from school, this is how he told it.

A younger woman and a man in a trout costume approached his kids just a block from their school and started walking with them. "Hey kids, can we ask you a few questions?"

"Sure" they said, bad kids.

"Have you kids ever been fishing before?"

"Yes, our daddy takes us fishing all the time."

"Oh really? Well did you know that there is more nerves in a fishes mouth then on the tip of your finger, when they get hooked it hurts so much worse then if you hit your finger with a hammer?"

"So what we love fishing." good kids.

"Does your daddy keep the fish he catches or does he let them go?"

"He keeps the ones we want to eat, but we'll let some go, even the big ones."

"Oh, thats too bad. What if you went to reach for a poptart and the next thing you know your hand was impaled by a big metal hook and you were dragged underwater and couldn't breath? Thats what a fish feels when you and your daddy catches them."

"Why would someone put a metal hook in my hand for grabbing a poptart?"

"Next time your father wants to take you fishing, you should just say NO kids, leave your fishing pole at home and just enjoy nature."

"Well how would we fish?"

"Kids, you shouldn't fish, it hurts the fish, you don't want to hurt Tommy Trout here do you? Even the fish you and your dad let go die, every fish you catch dies, you might think that a little hook doesn't do much damage but fish can't stop bleeding once they get hooked and over a few days well, they just bleed to death. Don't you feel bad that every fish, even the ones that get away are dead now?"

"Our dad says we shouldn't talk or believe anything that strangers say either."

"Oh, you don't have anything to worry about we're just trying to teach all you kids about how cruel fishing is, you wouldn't hook your dog or cat like you would a fish would you?"

"Here kids take these booklets home to your father and let him read about how much fishing hurts me" said Tommy the Trout reaching out with P.E.T.A. Propoganda.

Just then they were getting to the crosswalk and one of the kids yelled out to the crossing guard"CALL 911 CALL 911 THE MAN IN THE FISH SUIT TOUCHED ME!!!!!!"

The crossing guard quickly radio'd 5.0 and within a few minutes an officer was there, Tommy was handcuffed and stuffed into a cruiser, we still don't know whether or not they practiced catch and release.

Anyways back to KFC...

The light turned green and I slowly crossed the intersection and came to a stop close to the protesters, rolled down my window and yelled "Hey! For every chicken you don't eat I'm going to eat FIVE!!!!!"

They all looked at each other baffled, which is what most mindless protesters do when confronted. Yes you could hear the gears spinning in their minds, how could someone be taunting us, we're the good guys? Then a girl who was possibly the ring leader yelled back at me "Well good for you!"

Yes, good for me, chicken is very, very good for Circus Brown.
